    • VHS Handbags...now that's what I'm talkin' about. On the mixed tape front, I sadly was still compiling those fabulous relics in college, when everyone else had moved on to burning CDs. There's a certain nostalgia in that fuzzy white sound...plus my car didn't have a CD player.

    • Every frat party we had in college we would play that damn song. I used to like "Come on Eileen". Hey come on. Won't you blah blah blah. DAMN IT!

    • I've kept all my old homemade mix tapes (patiently taped from the radio, baby!), as well as some of the first tapes I ever bought for myself, including Purple Rain and Dexy's Midnight Runners (they sang "Come On Eileen"). Christ. I just realized that some of you weren't even BORN when I bought the Dexy's tape.

      Sigh.
