After feeling numbed by the media as to the reality of war, artist Kathleen Crocetti began a three year project to create a clay figure for every person who has died in Iraq since the war began. Four thousand pounds of clay and 150 volunteers later, she continues to expand the project as more lives are lost.

    • What began as an anti-war protest in Lafayette with several hundred crosses has become something more. To some parents of soldiers who have died, the crosses are a disrespectful and insulting display. To others, the more than 3,000 crosses, stars and crescents are amoving tribute.

    • To protest the war in Iraq, a media artist infiltrates the U.S. Army's popular online video game and gets himself shot. While angry gamers, soldiers and even some peace activists call him a nuisance, others say his message hits home.
