Twenty-five visitors are admitted every 15 minutes to see the painting for a total of about 320,000 visitors a year.
So officials put online an image of "The Last Supper" at 16 billion pixels - 1,600 times stronger than the images taken with the typical 10 million pixel digital camera. It allows viewers to look at details as though they were inches from the artwork in contrast to regular photographs, which become grainy as you zoom in.
Way cool!

Here is a further link on hidden things in the Last Supper. I saw two ladies in the picture using this resolution and noticed the lady on the right as we look at it pointing to herself like holding something and noticed there is quite a bit of initials in her clothing not on others like V, V, J and some interesting darker colored than others have things. I noticed she there is a faint V on the forehead. On laptops you can shift the screen and pick up more details standing out. I noticed the guy with the knife is actually NOT the one holding it as his sleeve goes to a hand stopping the knife out of nowhere. I noticed some M's in the lady's design and also like either M in front of her and the one they said is DaVinci over to the right or else it is a weird big mushroom sliced in half.
Here is a link to a video superimposing the two on each other bringing out much designs. When you first do it the Jesus gets two heads which may be about John being a walkin in him after his death.Definitely wish we knew who the true Knights Templar were of good design now.
I will see if the video embeds here correctly:
