It is just not right to have a tax charge on pumpkins because it is food. Food is to be aten and most people will actually bake pies out of the pumpkins they buy. They will bake pumpking pies instead of buying canned pumpking because nowadays there are so many chemicals in canned goods which decreases the nutrients of the pumpking stored in the can.

F*cking Iowa. Someone needs to write them for next year and be like "Look, Iowa, you already get $____ of our tax dollars, STOP F*CKING TAXING OUR PUMPKINS!" That is all.
And yes, bring on the pumpkin pie!

Stupidity. I harvest the guts and seeds every year and roast the seeds liberally draped in the sticky stuff. Pumpkin's a food, damnit!

Before you go to buy your pumpkin in Iowa, print out one of these recipes. Then, when they try to tax you on your pumpkin, whip out the recipe proving that your pumpkin is intended for food, and you should get off tax free!
That probably wouldn't work, but it would be funny to try!...

That's messed up, just because not everyone who buys a pumpkin is going to eat it doesn't mean it's not a food! Pumpkins are still foods! And some people actually Do eat them! And even if you are carving it, I still ALWAYS bake my seeds, so I'm still eating it, BECAUSE ITS FOOD! So THERE Iowa!
