It is beautiful in Navajo Nation.
In 1984-1985, we lived, first about a mile, then a few miles from the entrance of Canyon de Chelly National Park in Chinle. Most days, I'd get the kids in the pick-up with their Navajo friends from the neighborhood and we'd drive to the wash at the entrance where the children would play in the wash and I'd paint while I watched them. It was a peaceful life. When we moved to Tuba City in Western Agency of Navajo Nation, Castle Rock was our backyard and our front yard view was of the San Francisco Peaks in the distance from 1985 to 1988. Returning to Canyon de Chelly always feels like coming home to us.
