    • In as much as she wishes to dispel stereotypes, the fact is that because of the nature of the culture and the intertwining of religion, tradition and affairs of the state, there is alot that exists about the Arab world that does not bode well with the more liberal ideal.

Is she going to adress the rights and roles of women in countries like Saudi Arabia? Is she going to talk about the black Arabs, descendants of freed slaves who live on the fringes of their society? Is she going to talk about those child jockeys that are exploited in that elite favoured spot of camel racing?

Jordan is one of the more open countries but it still has its restrictions. I doubt if she can show the true Arab world "unedited and unscripted."

But I am keeping my eyes peeled for what she will bring
