It's like Disneyland for adults. One of those places you have to experience just once before you die! Twice if you liked it. :)

After talking to a friend last night at the Power Exchange who also happens to work there, she brought to light some things about the video of which you also mentioned in the above response back to me. I'm a little more understanding now of my part in the video and I no longer regret being a part of it...in fact, it is and was an honor to even be asked to participate...I reaslize that now. However, I still wish that what I said about my involvement in BDSM had been used instead of the urine thing...after all, my BDSM lifestyle is the main reason I even go to the P.E. And something should have been used that reflected the title of this video...safe, sane & consensual. Those three elements are the main premise of BDSM...without them, it just doesn't work and if definitely isn't safe...someone can get hurt. As long as BDSM is safe, sane & consensual, the sky is the limit and it stays healthy.

Great pod, getting where other podcasts may never go. There is so much more waiting to be tapped at the Power Exchange that sequels might be in order. Nice...

I am terribly sorry that you are not pleased with the results of this project. There was a great deal of material covered within your interview, as was the case with everyones' interview, that never made it to the final cut.
By my estimation, we had 3 to 4 hours of footage that comprised interviews with 12 different people, spanning 18 hours of filming for 2 nights and 1 day and we had to condense it down to a mere 8 minutes. It really would have been nice if we could have made an hour-long piece and included more interview footage from everyone, but we simply were working with a much smaller, durational window and had to keep it within those limits.
Since everyone interviewed was asked the same set of questions, a lot of the answers were similar in scope. So, rather than feature the same answers delivered from several different people, we focused on the portions of the interviews that we felt set them apart.
Also, the whole context of the project has to do WITH THE CLUB and what the patrons interviewed like to do AT THE CLUB, not how they spend their time OUTSIDE OF THE CLUB. And since the whole point of the Power Exchange is to cater to the sexual desires of its clientelle, then that is why we focused on exactly THAT. That is why there is no footage of ANYONE talking about their hobbies, professions, educational background, etc. Though the fact that you are a musician is very relevent to who you are as a whole, it is not relevent to the subject of why you enjoy going to the Power Exchange. We felt this way about a number of topics of which you chose to reveal during the course of your interview: substance abuse and recovery, transgender issues, sexual abuse, incest, Christianity... all of which are incredibly compelling subjects... but we also had to disinclude that material because we felt it would have digressed from the original topic and given far too much focus on just one person.
In closing, you mention what the club means to you and that you are "exctremely grateful for The Power Exchange and what it offers and represents." All we wanted to do with this project was to depict those very things from multiple perspectives in a very positive and fair light. I think we succeeded in this endeavor. If you disagree, then I am sorry that you are disappointed.

I am in this video and I have to be honest...that's the only way I know how to be. Quite frankly, I'm a little disappointed in the footage used in my interview. The footage used only shows a very small part of me that is very kinky and somewhat nasty. I believe that my actual interview involved more significant areas about me that should have been either included in this video or used instead of the footage that was used. For example, my BDSM lifestyle...my main focus at The Power Exchange is to engage in BDSM activity, both as a Domme/Top and a submissive/bottom; in the BDSM community, this is know as being a Switch. I strongly believe that this side of me should have been noted in the video, but it wasn't.
More importantly...if I recall, I think I mentioned a very important part about me that is totally non-sexual and that is my number one passion in life...my music and my love for music. I am a guitarist/singer/songwriter and this part of my life is the most significant part of me because it is who I really am. The video only showed me as being a deranged sex addict to the extreme and there are so many other parts of me that outweigh my sexual appitite. For this reason, I am deeply regretting my involvement in this video. Yes, I love sex and I love it to the extreme and I love it as kinky as possible...that is no secret to the people who know me at the Power Exchange and even to some of my close friends, but outside the Power Exchange...in my every day life...I am just a woman who enjoys life and friendship with my close friends who love me and care about me, as I do them. And I like I mentioned before...I'm deeply involved in my music and I love entertaining people with my music. My music is very personal and emotional.
In closing, I will say one more thing regarding The Power Exchange...I love this club. It is my...for lack of a better term...fortress of solitude. I come here to hang out, Dom/Top a few girls...sub/bottom to select Doms/Dommes...have occasional sex in an environment that is safe for me...and then I go home and continue my every day life that usually doesn't involve any of the above forementioned things. I'm extremely grateful for The Power Exchange and what it offers and represents. Thanks, Mike, for supplying this place for us.

Well, Phil, if you had read the adult content warning it clearly states that a certain group of folks who believe in certain things may not cotton well to the subject matter.
Besides, isn't one of the premises of Rosicrucianism supposed to be the development of mind and heart in a spirit of unselfish service to mankind and an all-embracing altruism? If this is so, I have yet to see it demonstrated.
