Does anyone know who Michael Steward was?He was an African American graffiti artist in New York City.He died in 1988 in police custody during an arrest for doing this kind of work.To me he is your(graffiti artist) modern day Jesus that never saw any success like these new street artist.-Black History Month 2010

I first encountered his artwork in 2002 when I was attending college in shoreditch. It was very different to the graffiti I was involved in. It was strange to see 10 ft flowers and stencils dipicting political humour. I love it and wish him all the best bcz he is an inspiration to all
