Altered State

What do you think of when you think of the American Dream? Kate Raudenbush, the artist behind Altered State thought of the Native Americans. Her artwork reflects the patterns and traditions of the Native American people, but structured within a colonial theme.

The beauty inside you has successfully been manifested in this work.
I'm in Juneau, can't make it to Black Rock this year, I got too many folks counting on me here. I'm learning a lot from the Tlingits and Haidas myself and you nailed it.
      Peace and lot's o' love

    • Wow! I have to admit I'm dumbfounded by how sincere she is in making her art and contributing it to Burning Man Community. Honestly I didn't even notice I had tears in my eyes watching and listening to her.

She said, she've been going to Burning Man for 10 years. If Burning Man can produce people like her, I must be missing a lot by not even going to the event even once.

I'm now fully convince I need to go there next year!

    • Kate -- the structure is beautiful, achieves what her goal was. It looks like it's made of paper not metal and that's an amazing thing to pull off --that lightness.

Bartee obviously has some kind of personal ax to grind. She has been particularly and prolifically virulent. I certainly hope she feels better having vented her bile.
