Way out in the middle of the ocean, seemingly far away from civilization, there exists a garbage dump: A junkyard compiled of miles and miles of non-biodegradable plastic objects, floating and bobbing in the open seas. Where did this come from? How did it get here? It traveled, far and wide from the shores, using the oceanic currents as a conduit to this "wasteland".
This piece represents the starting point of trash that ends up sitting in the doldrums of the ocean. Consisting of used plastic bags connected together to form a sheet, they will be attached to the shoreline but free to float and move with the tide.
