Kids should be smart enough to know that you can't do the same things that are done in cartoons.

deeblackangel hit it right on the nail...it's nothing new. that's all they did on Looney Tunes. Someone was always carrying a gun. Maybe that's why violence is crazy now. At least he didn't make an exibit of Porky the Pig getting gutted and made into breakfast sausages.

And one question....(I may have missed it in the article) how can he draw these with the copyright in working order? I'm sure there is a way...I'm just wondering what it is.

Nothing like promoting violence to say OMG we're violent.

What is that saying? Waring for peace is like F- for virginity.

The idea for this work is STUPID just like that saying is pointing out.

Why not go to places that have car bombings and suicide attacks and take pictures of mutilated children and post those and show children and have them appreciate that.

It's a grand idea.

I'm sure they'll want to eat cow afterwords...with lots of ketchup.

And cartoons were not more violent.

Satirical things are funny because they are not 'real'. Cartoons were great because they were not real.

If your child thought they were...well you had a stupid child.

The Looney Tunes are awesome.

This guy wants to show the "real consequences" of cartoons... which aren't real. He's a bit of a loon himself.

Daffy always got his face blown off, that’s nothing new

Watching some of the older cartoons and even Tom and Jerry recently I realized that they were far more violent than cartoons are now. While this doesn't surprise me in the least I think it's important and relevant to let the public know that this is shocking only because so much of what is viewed on television currently is so dumbed down, censored, sweetened up and generally watered down to the point where something like this would be shocking. While if you were around during the Vietnam War shocking images were in the news regularly.

If I said this was kinda neat...I'd probably look like a maniac. But, for some reason - this pleases me. Especially because of all the gun violence in connection to youth.

Its finally about time old cartoons caught up with the times.
