Despite some controversy, one photographer's effort to bring awareness to the realities of war through large-scale portraits of soldiers serving in Afghanistan and Iraq is finally being shown in several cities across the U.S.

    • soldiers dying is a republican mishandling of american resources...we all know that lets not get into an argument about soldiers...u invade other countries...under the pretence that were on the hunt for obama and nuclear weapons...my question is wheres the beef? wheres the beef mr. president

    • Soldiers dying overseas is exactly what is happening right now. These billboards should be a powerful message to remind U.S. citizens that our their people are getting injured and dying in wars that are still continuing.

    • Those billboards are obviously meant to imply dead soldiers. You have pale faces lying down, looking dead in their eyes with that nice somber morgue color in the background.
