GEICO COMMERCIAL

iammyfathersson
I have seen this commercial a hundred times and it still doesn't make any sense to me. Can someone please take some time out of their life and explain the meaning? I know this isn't news, but I'm dying for an answer that suits me because the ones I've been given are insufficient. Thanks and have a nice day!

    • Get rid of the caveman thing! They suck.
But I guess that's why Geico keeps them around. To remind us about an insurance company.

      Timcat-Blues,
I watched the show, it sucked.

    • ti moat sit on it and rotate. the caveman sucks big time. the ads are stupid and the caveman is annoying. not even a geek like you would date him.

(the above being sarcasm, I learned well from you)

    • You came into the story in the middle. Don't even ask now you are too lame. You have to be hip to the beginning and the even bigger middle, which was canceled, but if you missed it so much more a loser you are. Ha, Ha. That being said, you suck and I win. Ha, Ha.

[The above being sarcasm for those who are not the hip.]

    • the geico slogan is "so easy a caveman could do it" these are cavemen and when they see the geico signs, it ruins their day, even if they have good things going got them that day.

    • I think they're trying to do a "story" & just jumped into it mid-swing instead of explaining it. Basically, he became this famous guy because of Geico...but in reality, he kinda sucked & was only good/known because of Geico & he wanted to take a break from it. But because Geico is so big & popular, everywhere he goes, there is Geico.

    • idk, this confuses me...but so does the attempt to make a sitcom starring solely the characters from a commercial.

    • It's Geico trying to show that the caveman is stupid/ not good at doing anything. (So easy a caveman can do it) If you'll notice, recent commercials involve the caveman trying to prove he's intelligent (like when in the counselor's office and is operating a smartphone)
By losing so badly to an old woman, and sitting in a Geico chair at a Geico event etc, he appears once again, to be falling short in general.

    • I don't get most of them these days. Especially the one where the two guys get off their motorcycles and walk toward beautiful women, see the Geico sign and walk away. I think they're intentionally made that way just so the only thing you remember is Geico made a commercial that was completely irrelevant.
