Depends what kind of job you have. I've been loading trucks lately. They don't give a shit what I look like on a dock. I couldn't pull off my current facial fuzz in a office, though. People will bitch about anything in those environs.

My hair's bright pink. I was fired last month, along with scads of other people. Sucks, but the vacation's been fun.

Wait, so does this mean if I worked at current I wouldn't have to shave? Sweet. That's another 30 minutes a week I could piss away on the computer doing nothing.

I rocked the unemployment beard for a while. It was a great symbol of my freedom from corporate America. Those darn job interviews kept me hacking it off though. Can't beat the man.

I will say that before I got laid off from my programming job I had ALOT less hair. I use to have a shaved head and no facial hair and now I am a mountain man and my balls look like they are ready for the disco....AFRO BALLS!

Plenty of guys elect not to shave, regardless of their employment status. I guess it's somewhat dependent on what you do for a living, though. Artists, for example, can (and do) pretty much get away with just about anything in terms of their physical appearance.

True true- this is a new phenomenon, people using the current crises to postpone their responsibilities. It's the slippery slope we live in!

Shaving is just an inconvenience.

My work week has been cut to 2 days a week so I only have to shave once a week now.
