Pinata Factory strikes again with Altarventions

Image

The Pinata Factory installed a number of "Altarventions" through out the wealthy northern suburbs of Chicago. The Altars were created by over 50 Chicago youth from Humboldt Park and South Chicago neighborhoods that have been plagued by one of the most violent years recorded. These paper mache installations aim to remind people who are not faced with the reality of the violence in Chicago everyday, that the need to address this epidemic has never been more pressing. photos here http://picasaweb.google.com/manilikecheese/Altarations#5418292861293732066
