When the pay is low, and the work is hard if you can get it, she stands beside me to take away the pain. The Blue Collar Angel see's my hard work and effort to do the right thing, in the mist of being treated like a number. She has held my hand as I have walk in to school to get a education.
The idea that I can break the cycle of minimum wage slavery, the job demands for perfection while paying the lowest wage possible, no benefits, two to three day's of employment a week no health care, no compassion. The Angel see's it , she see's the the employer's customers treat you with mass disrespect, while you open the doors for them, clean there waste, serve all there needs with a SMILE.
She was there when customer spits in you're face @ work actual spit , she was there when a customer claims you enjoy being poor, due to the fact you were not interested in his pyramid pay him to work scam job opportunity.
She cried for you when in both situation you maintain you're composure knowing if you said anything did anything to protect you're self you loose you're job.
She was there when you got Employee Of The Month a pat on the back and no pay raise after being there for 2 years. She is there when the other jobs you get offer would pay you all the money you need, but there is a great chance you will end up in jail with a felony or dead. She see's you turned down the wrong thing to do the right thing to go to work even though that can pay enough money to take care of the basic things you need to live .
She see's you have two jobs searching for a third, and my Angel whisper's in my ear get you're education don't give up don't give up. I see you I know you feel like you are Ice Skating up hill , see you're dream take it with you and when you get there make sure you help someone else just like you.
