Indy Art Space's signage defaced

Garage Spaces, an exhibition space built within a three-car garage in Chicago's Humboldt Park, installed billboards throughout Chicago's west side for their "RETROSPECTIVE". The taggers covered the exhibit's billboards with red spray paint that read, "Go home Toys". This phrasing, common to "taggers" refers to someone new or inexperienced in the Graffiti world. This vandalization comes at a time when "newcomers," whether young, white professionals, or artists and galleries are increasing in number in Chicago's west side.
