Well, there's Animal Rights... along with Veganism (because animal rights and veganism naturally go together)... and at least three other topics, that I know of, that begin with the word "animal."

But there sure as heck isn't anything "artsy" or "stylish" about this horrifying abuse. It's animal exploitation, and it's unforgivably wrong.

How nice are YOU?!?! Thank you, and no apology necessary. It's not that the post necessarily "offended" me... it's that I find myself feeling that humans who allow this to go on are offensive. And that has nothing at all to do with YOU, and I mean that.

Yes, peace and love, to be sure... and it's really good that you wrote back, and that you understood where I was coming from.

See you somewhere within current.com, eh? Oh, and come check out "Veganism," when and if you ever find the time. There's so much that's been submitted there, and it's a real mish-mosh.

Again, thank you for your understanding and kindness.

I will certainly check out "Veganism" ...we were thinking about developing a site based on eating raw, the vegan lifestyle, etc...

Anyway, unfortunately I like eating meat (can't help it) but prefer organic, free-range, grass-fed beef and poultry. Have you seen the movie Food, Inc? Certainly eye-opening. It's really good, check it out if you haven't.

Of COURSE I've seen "Food, Inc." Have you see "Earthlings?" I strongly urge you to rent, borrow, or buy that film. It's outstanding, and fits in well with what I'm about to ask you, which is...

I'm confused as to who "we" is, since you're mentioning a website on veganism, rawism, etc. And yet you say you "like eating meat." So wouldn't that be hypocritical of you to write about something you don't believe in? And so as not to insult you, I'm also asking you why you'd write about things about which you may know next to nothing? How would you get your emotions into it?

You also said you "can't help it." When I was really young, I "liked" eating meat, too. But once I realized all the cruelty around animal food and animal byproducts, it was easy to stop... just like that.

Organic. Free-Range. Grass-Fed Beef. Grass-Fed Poultry. Humph! So do any of those phrases mean the same thing as "humane," in its REAL sense? Killing is killing is killing, and the methods are abhorrent and brutal and insanely painful. There is nothing gentle or sweet or kind about killing any of our animal friends.

For you, EthicalVegan... I'll check out "Earthlings". By the way, are you male/female? I think we'd make great friends ;)

Anyway, Yes, it would be hypocritical if "I" personally wrote the content, but that would not be the case: users, independent writers, or folks knowledgeable on the subject would be writing the content. "We" would be developing and building a platform for vegetarianism or rawism to be heard.

Trust me, I've tried to 'just stop'. I was even thinking about going super RAW for a 30-day challenge after seeing a documentary about these diabetic, high blood pressured group of people doing the 30 day raw thing and turning their issues around. I forget the name of the program. Anyway, I haven't given up on the thought, it could happen one day...

LOL you really are a true hardcore vegetarian, ey? Unfortunately I'm not emotionally attached to this subject and all I can say is 'to each, it's own' and that animals have been eating animals for millions of years and if we were to compare ourselves to dinosaurs - they too had meat-eaters and veggie-eaters...I'm sure the same with cavemen or even our ancestors...it's embedded in our DNA / genetics.
