The ACE Hotel goes to Los Angeles...

New York City's hot spot, The Ace Hotel, is going Hollywood. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the hip hotel chain has purchased the former United Artist Building in downtown Los Angeles. The building is a historic landmark that was built by Charlie Chaplin, Douglas Fairbanks, Mary Pickford and D.W. Griffith.

Above the theater were thirteen floors which was office space and that will be turned into hotel rooms. The somewhat plain outside hides the unbelievable grandeur of inside. Sources told The Hollywood Reporter that Ace intends 'to make a fully renovated and reactivated theater the showpiece of the hotel.'
