In Oregon this past weekend, knitters gathered to break the world record for the most people knitting at once in one place. The final tally isn't it, but the previous record was 256, and the Sock Summit, where this event was held, had over 1800 registered participants.
Darn--I knew I should have gone to Sock Summit! Maybe next year...
