6 AD
Territories of Judea, Samaria, and Idumea come under control as the Roman province of Judea.
14 AD
Augustus deified by the Roman Senate. (later dies; Tiberius succeeds him as emperor.)
25-27 AD
Ministry of John the Baptist (Pontius Pilate becomes Procurator of Judea.- Herod Antipas marries his brother's wife. )

Their lasting impact will be to greatly elevate the priesthood above the laity which will give birth to the Catholic and Orthodox hierarchies.
