Body Dysmorphic Disorder, aka Body Dysmorphia, aka BDD, is a psychological disorder that causes a person to become obsessed by a perceived defect in his or her physical features – eyes, nose, belly, feet, what have you. You’ve probably heard a little something about it in the past year or so, but like eating disorders, the media tends to focus on how mysterious BDD is, or how weird the symptoms are…and not on the reality of the people who live with it.

And especially not on how they live with it.

This interview sheds light on the reality of the disorder, for one woman who is fighting it.
