What is the History of The Borgen Project? In 2003, Clint Borgen launched The Borgen Project. Borgen had spent time in the infamous Kosovo refugee camps and recognized a need for stronger U.S. involvement in combating global poverty. After college, Borgen took a job living on a fishing vessel in Dutch Harbor, Alaska. Borgen developed, launched and funded The Borgen Project while living in Alaska. Borgen eventually moved to Seattle where The Borgen Project is still headquartered today.
