Anybody thinking about how this is going to affect the poorer Caribbean countries? It is really sick. Even with the disaster as it is, you guys won't starve, you probably won't even poison yourselves beyond the vile fumes, but what about the southern neighbours? If they are poisoned, you will be happy because there is less competition for the food that's left???

I don't really rely on seafood now for any of that, but I have been wondering about the impact on seaweed...do we get a lot of sea vegetables from the Gulf? It sucks that all of the hemp here in the US has to be imported, but that's another discussion entirely.
