The One Mile Clock Project

Myself and a team of expert scientists are creating the worlds largest clock at Burning Man 2011. Using high powered lasers as the "hands" of the clock, we will shootcthem out over twelve 22' tall "hour towers" around Black Rock City. This project is registered with Guinness to shatter the current record for "The Worlds Largest Timepiece". Check out our website for the complete story

    • Uhhhh, yep... The Lasers will ONLY be visible at night. The more dust in the air the better for a Laser. The less dust, the less you can see a laser. Lasers reflect off of "particles" in the air. These are 5 watt lasers that will burn wood and shoot a hole through your head if you were nutty enough to climb a 40 foot ladder trying to light your cigarette. ;-) - Jim

    • We will also feature 48 works of theme related art on 4'x6' panels on each of the 12 towers around the Esplanade. The project will also "countdown and burn to the ground" after the Man burns on Saturday.
