Judging by photos from his sunbathing in the past few weeks, which show cracked, blackened and misshaped toenails, it appears as though Ronaldo has developed Athlete’s Foot — a fungal condition that can affect the areas in between the toes and spread to the toenail itself–leaving it thick, distorted and discolored. It’s common to catch Athlete’s foot from moist environments; especially locker rooms and shared bath room facilities. Over-the-counter antifungal drugs can usually cure this up. Unfortunately for his painful-looking bunions and corns, a trip to the podiatrist might be in order.
