If Chris Brown got off easy, why can’t he?
Boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. was released early from a Las Vegas jail early this morning after serving 2 of his 3-month sentence for domestic violence.
He was sentenced all the way back in December of 2010 after beating up the mother of his children in front of their kids, but was allowed to turn himself in on June of last year so he could fight Miguel Cotto on May 5th.
So, he got arrested for fighting and was allowed to turn himself in later so he could fight… yeah, the law makes total sense.
He was originally given six months after pleading guilty to a misdemeanor domestic violence charge — but 3 months of that was suspended.
More after the jump.
He also pled “no contest” to 2 misdemeanor harassment charges — for threatening to beat up his young children as well.
Even more sense.
With the jail time, Floyd has to complete 100 hours of community service and a 12-month domestic violence program. So far, he’s completed roughly half of both. Close friend, 50 Cent was there to greet him and give him a ride home.
The moral of the story: you can beat up whomever you like, as long as your famous for beating other people up.
Or again, if you’re Chris Brown.
