Cook Loses His Mind at Laughing Lizard, Jemez Springs, NM

The Internet has had a profound effect on the service industry, but some service workers aren't hip to it yet. I went back to this restaurant a year after they served me a frozen pizza. I'd posted a negative review online about my experience, and the cook overheard me talking about it on this subsequent visit. He refused us service and 86'd us. I had a chat with him on my way out. I will not be returning to the Laughing Lizard in quaint, scenic Jemez Springs, New Mexico.

    • This guy wouldn't survive in a professional establishment, which leads me to believe that the owner is of like mind. I like to support mom-and-pop operations, but they can be inconsistent in both service and product. And the more remote the location, as you said, the more sheltered and unworldly the staff can be, cut off as they are from civilization and as frozen in their ways as their pizza is frozen.

    • Awesome! Typical Northern New Mexican. The customer's always right. In this, yes scenic area...land locked...and recluse...people like this guy, fail to realize that they have behavioral problems. Could you imagine him in the City?
