I totally agree with your video on waterboarding, i think that its really sad and hate ful to do that do people if they wanted to do something like that and having it cause death then just go and put them on the exicution chair... i think that every one should be treated fairly...

As the worlds last remaining superpower, at least temporarily, we surely need to be bothered by what the world thinks of us. It is that view of us that creates the terrorists in the first place. Our arrogance in the face of world opinion, especially in the last seven years, has to be considered a major recruiting tool for terrorists.
If the next administration follows the Bush Doctrine and continues the assault on the Constitution you will be much more likely to be picked up on the streets of America than those of a third world country, never to be seen again.
We will never win the Bush war OF terror by becoming a nightmare to terrorists. The only way to stop terrorists is to stop creating terrorists.
I only hope that when the time comes, Bush goes willingly and doesnt try to pull a Musharraf.

Humm. I have said this before. We need to quit be bothered by what the world thinks of us. Do you think terrorits care? If you say yes, then you are younger than you look in your video. I think that if most of the anti-torture people were picked up off the street by terrorists and subject to thier form of torture, many would have a different view of the tactic and reason it is used. its not about revenge. If we are going to be a nightmare to terrorists then lets be one. Other wise lets all convert to Islam and shutup.

Ironically, everyone seems to know that waterboarding is torture, except the people who matter recently.
Waterboarding was used during the Inquisition -- they knew it was torture.
Waterboarding was using during the Third Reich -- they knew it was torture.
Waterboarding was reported to the Senate Judiciary committee by FOUR Judge Advocates General (these are high ranking military lawyer guys) who all said that it violates the law, treaties, military justice -- and that they knew it was, in fact, torture.
Then there was the acting Attorney General of the US who decided that in case there was any doubt about it, he would subject himself to the practice. Not read a report about it, but actually put himself ON the waterboard. He wrote a report about 4 years ago which seemed to have been suppressed, even had the scene VIDEOTAPED which has suddenly come to light and been playing ad nauseum. He had been fired for his report, but in it, he described his experience explicitly, and he knew very well, that it was, TORTURE.
It seems that the ONLY people who don't know that waterboarding is torture are: Judge Mukasey, who is now the chief law enforcement officer in the United States. Isn't that reassuring? The other person who doesn't seem to know, is probably President Bush -- are you listening? Am I being monitored? Come and get me!
I know I still have the Bill of Rights on my side to say that, so just in case you're unclear, here an excerpt from the 1st Amendment -- I know you haven't re-written that one...YET, no matter how hard you have tried.
"Congress shall make no law...abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."
I expressed my free political speech, and petitioned the government for a redress of grievances. So there.
