'Husband-beating' on the rise
source: http://news.ninemsn.com.au/national/828309/husband-beating-on-the-rise
Figures from the NSW Bureau of Crime Statistics show the number of women charged with domestic violence-related assault has increased dramatically.
The figures show 2,336 women faced court on charges of domestic violence in 2007, mainly for bashing their husbands, compared with just 818 in 1999.
News Ltd says men's groups say they're happy that police are finally taking men seriously, but it's still hard for husbands to admit they've been attacked by their wives.
Research shows women tend to use guns, knives, boiling liquids and irons to attack their partners.
The increase in violence, which is often fuelled by alcohol, has sparked calls for refuges for men.
Assistant Commissioner Mark Murdoch says there's no definitive explanation for the increasing number of women being prosecuted for domestic violence offences.

sincere thanks, Mother'! youz deservez PRETTY PRETTY FRESH FLOWERS!!! =D =D =D many "women" are already too cannily opportunistic in their pursuits for something dangerously close to a jezebel's "equality" (like divorce courts where all a woman has to do is cry wolf and as law actually is mind without reason, they dumbly oblige in the best of the worst).
Fundamentally if we recognize it, equality already exists, even in different roles: e.g. I can't fill MotherForTruth's big shoes but I bet she'd have a hard time fitting into mine...and I'd look silly in high heels anyway =P lol

bngpatsy, The level of tolerance and circumstances defines the level of abuse. If we reverse the roles would the situation and outcome change? Men and women should be treated equally. We have VAWA (Violence Against Women Act) where is the VAMA (Violence Against Men Act)?

Verbal abuse is still abuse. Would it be ok if a husband verbally abused his wife? Would she be ok with it? Would the law consider it was ok?

I love your comments unclecharlie... Thank you, MotherForTruth...
The bible also had a queen-bitch like that who prided herself usurping all prestige, power and position. The thing's name was Jezebel. She was thrown from a high window and the dogs dragged her around lapping up her blood and tearing away her flesh until she was absolutely no more.
I don't think anyone tried to stop it, not even a man.

This isn't the 1950's, with Mom staying home cleaning the house and cooking dinner for her husband, so he could enjoy a good meal after spending all day in the office. Feminists convinced women that were equal to men in EVERY way- psychologically, emotionally, and strength wise- despite all the proof that says women are very different- their brains are hardwired a whole lot differently, and they do not have the upper body strength that men have- thus their liability on a battlefield. When army basic training has been "feminized" to accomodate this, we have problems. With feminists downplaying or dismissing feminimity all together (with harcore dykes spelling women as "womyn") and the indoctrination of these beliefs on college campuses (Smith, Wellesley, Brown, etc.) it is no wonder women are taking the low road and becoming abusers, much like their male counterparts.
