Maasai circumcision ultimate test of manhood

Image

During circumcision which involves a sharp knife cutting into the skin of the most sensitive part of the body, the soon to be moran must not budge, move a muscle or even blink. The slightest movement is interpreted to mean cowardice, and therefore unworthy to be a Maasai man.

    • It's unfortunate that people comment without thinking about what they are saying. It doesn't cost much respecting people's culture and letting them be since they were in place ages ago.

The Maasai circumcision (as is the case with every other Kenyan culture) is sacred and should be respected. I wasn't at all pleased with the exposure of a mans bits especially because we are a reserved nation when it comes to nudity and sexual matters. I would urge that the section be edited coz i believe every human being has a right to their privacy. If they saw what you've published,it would really be humiliating and annoying.

I'm not from the Maasai tribe but i'm from Kenya and i have a good understanding of every tribe in my country. Please respect our various cultures and make privacy a priority when it comes to publising our customs and traditions.

Otherwise it's a good way of learning peoples culture. Good job Current!

    • That's disgusting. I guess their God wasn't all powerful to have overlooked that extra skin on such an important part of a human's reproductive system.

Maybe we could alter the DNA or something to fix their God's little f*ck up - kind like genetic circumcision - like the big man was supposed to do.

Good thing mankind caught that little oversight of their pathetic impotent God.

It's just too bad the poor kids have to suffer for their inferior God's oversight. Man, what pain.
