I feel the same way about this that I feel about a lot of advertising -- wowed by the technique, and wishing I could pry the art of it all away from the cause it serves. On the one hand, cool graphics are cool graphics. On the other hand, I wouldn't want, say, a fascist or other totalitarian banner hanging on my wall, no matter how cool the graphics were -- and the North Korean regime is about as bad as it gets...

I have visited the official north Korea republic website and have found such artworks as these labeled on mugs, t-shirt, disc, banners, and other items. They are art regardless of any political view and are interesting to look at. I believe these work will be seen in art history already or soon.
