just because someone will be offended does not mean something should be illegal. my eyes are offended by sagging, jiggly man tits when guys go topless jogging in my neighborhood every week, but that is still allowed because the law does not tell those guys they have to be shamed of their bodies so much that it is illegal to show them in public.

The point of this movement for shirtless women is trying to allow women's bodies to be as culturally accepted as those of men. It is never a fair society that says some people's bodies are accepted while others must be covered.

    • hahaha, look people, whats so wrong with nudity. we were all made differently, if people want to show it off that's up to them. stop being so prudish its a natural form just like a tree has bark and doesn't need to be covered up!

    • That pod ruled! Loved it!

I wonder if it wasn't against the law to be shirtless, maybe the pressure on (young & older) women to get implants would lessen as they see that smaller breasts are attractive also.

I also appreciate the guy in the pod pointing out who is behind this... . DUDE seems a little "out there", I hate to say it but it made me laugh pretty hard.
      Thanks for the cool pod.

    • I agree that equal rights should be met, in most situations, between men and women. Also, that double-standards are unfair. This case however, i don't agree with. Men can take their shirts off in public because they don't have breasts. Breasts are one object of sexual attraction on a female's body. That being said, this "no shirt" policy would only lead to more nudity in public. A, "If we can show this, why cant we show that?" type of thing...

men and woman have breasts of differing size. both vary from flat chested to full on stacked.

i wouldn't be comfortable with no shirt because of the sexual object aspect, but i think its more of the organizers trying to prove a point in a logical fashion... eh? yes?

There are many sexy parts of the body that can still be shown in public, its more a matter of shame caused by feeling the need to cover it. There is no need for women to have these forced Puritanical hang-ups about their bodies.

Many indigenous cultures had topless women as the norm, until Christian or Musilm missionaries changed their society. Even during much of European History (Pre-1900) " the exposed breast could even be a status symbol, and was often displayed as a sign of beauty, wealth, or social position. The bared breast was even seen to invoke associations with the nude sculptures of classical Greece that were exerting a huge influence on art, sculpture, and architecture of the period." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toplessness

I agree. I think it is disgusting for men (and women) to walk around half-naked. Even if it is warm, wearing a tank top or a light shirt would not make much of a difference, so please just keep your clothes on and everyone can be happy!

    • Equal rights: good.

Incredibly questionable and probably very sexist motives behind a campaign for said equal rights, cultivated by a cultist madman: not so good.
