    • This is my first time to view a pod from Friendswelove. I appreciated the casual and informal use of communication and interview that was presented. Interesting. I am curious how to learn more. Are there other pods that can lead me to learn more about history, background, etc ? Or is this a stand alone pod? Perhaps I need direction! I am a fan of the quote from Ellis about making a little noise. Sweet quote. Good job.

      Actually, Friends We Love as a series is something that was recently created by me and my partner Moni Pineda. You can find out more about us, the show and what we've got in store at: friendswelove.com

      As for the style of the show- For the longest time, I wanted to create a episodic program where each piece was unique. Where the person being interviewed motivated the look and feel of everything from the shooting to the editing.

      Being that I grew up with Ellis, I knew I was going to be able to achieve a very high level of comfort with him in front of camera. Were both very spontaneous people and a lot of what we ended up with was stuff that was on the fly. Although I had been imagining all the bike riding shots, prior to shooting. We were both extremely happy with how the piece turned out. This video marks our first collaboration in over 20 years- The last being some graffiti on the back of shopping center in our old neighborhood.

      Were much interested in hearing more about some of the projects you've been working on. Let's keep in touch.

      Good looking out Tat Flow. I'm so happy for the response we've been getting for this piece on Ellis. It's like we said yesterday, it's all about trying to show a different light on something that's been demonized for far to long. Here's a guy with a child, a wife, a "normal" life. He's not in hiding dodging police. He's right there on the sidewalk for all to see. I couldn't be happier, well getting that #1 spot would most certainly help.
