UFO Sightings Increase Worldwide

MAINE BOOMERANG SHAPED SHIP HOVERS

OLD TOWN -- Zak Keenan writes, "Last week, Filer's Files reported about a college couple seeing a large flying triangle hovering 200 feet over the Catholic Church at 6:40 PM on January 10, 2003." I am a college student in Old Town, and a frequent reader of your reports, but I am a little skeptical of that UFO report. I was out at 4:30 AM, on January 20, and I too noticed a triangle shaped craft on the north end of Campus facing the direction of downtown Old Town. I was stunned. It was a ways off in the distance and it was hard to get an estimate as to how far away it was. I watched the craft come closer, and seeing how it was triangular shaped I knew it could very easily be the wings of an airplane. In my view of looking at the object I saw two towers that I believe are navigating towers for aircraft flying to Bangor International Airport ten miles to the south. The object I was viewing made very little noise, but I could faintly hear some noise as it moved closer. As much as I wanted to believe it was a UFO, it made more sense to pass the object off as a C5 cargo transport plane that frequents BIA. With the upcoming war in Iraq it only makes sense that they would be out there at night and flying a little lower trying to get more accustomed to flying in those conditions. I appreciate all that you do. Thanks to Zak Keenan

Editor's Note: The witnesses described a silent craft hovering over the church at 200 feet altitude. A C-5 aircraft would make tremendous noise and would stall out of the sky at less than 150 mph.
So CURRENT posters, I respect most of you has "THINKERS", whether UFO's are extraterrestrial in origin or not, one thing is for sure, In the past 12 months there has been a marked increase in sightings. Why do you guys think this is? On this articles homepage there are many more sightings, I only picked the first one. Mainly for the URL, so.....check them out and then, give me your opinions. Thanks Nobamajon, local Genius.

    • I used to not consider the Ufo sightings much of anything but just mlitary aircraft or just overactive imagination or just DOWN RIGHT LIES!!! But after i've seen how they have increased worldwide, especially actually hearing of sightings in the middle east, maybe their is something of momentous importance happening in the future to these countries, ZBritiain and Iran, Jesus fortold ie book of Matthew chapter 28 that bfore Jerusalem was destroyed by the Romans in 70 a.d. they would see signs and they indeed did in the skies, historians of the period wrote about strange visions in the skies, maybe something momentous [good or bad] is fixing to happen in Britiain or Iran, or just maybe even the end of the world could possiblye will have to wait and see.

The newspaper the next day addressed it as if it was a weather balloon or something but it was very close and easy to see...either that or it was large...i dont know what it was..it was just unidentifiable...and flying and i would have to use object to describe it. we are all cells millions of them. have you ever looked at them under a microscope? if thats not ALIEN i dont know what is. the sitings were not in kansas either they were in new york on a city street..

    • UFOs are real, it has a certain connection between the japan Dragon's triangle and the Brumuta triangle....there is also a link between them of how the UFOs travel between them, they also have a underwater base in Japan, i think that is why people have been abducted; to be examined for studies of the aliens..i'm very sure that they know we are here, they see no threat from us so far, I just wonder when are going to get in contact with these aliens...

Dr. Edgar Mitchell, astronaut of the Apollo 14

July 23, 2008 was an historic day! I awoke to hear on the Internet an astounding interview on Kerrang Radio (UK) with Astronaut Edgar Mitchell, who announced matter of factly, "yes, we have been visited." Did this sudden announcement signal the beginning of Official UFO Disclosure? I transcribed much of the conversation wherein Edgar Mitchell finally briefed us all. http://www.disclose.tv/action/viewvideo/6168/

    • WHAT IF........These are our descendants? What if they are just coming back to view History first hand? What if WE have already lived and died and we are just in a dimension of sight and sound, like a recording, resonance. What if this explains the visitations throughout history? The cave drawings, Columbus's sighting on Oct. 11, 1492? The ufo's witnessed two times by Alexander the greats troops. The WWII foo fighters and so on? What if their small Gray appearence was caused by a terrible inviroment, evolution etc. Maybe this explains them hanging around Nuclear projects?Bomb testing areas, etc. They seem really interested in Atomic things. Maybe their here to change their own future or present? Maybe this is why we experence deji vue. Maybe we really have been here before???????

    • I am not usually a conspiracy theorist but there are two things that make me agnostic about UFOs. One is that since there are more stars in the universe than there are grains of sand on Earth (or so my Mum tells me), it is statistically inevitable that there is life out there somewhere Secondly, the human race is so stupid that it is also statistically inevitable that there is a race of beings (maybe not humanoid) more intelligent than homo sapiens. I mean look at Sarah Palin!

    • The strange thing about UFOs,they travel millions of light years and land in a swamp or someones back yard.We can imagine anything the possibilities are endless. Its like Bigfoot the pictures or video is always out of focus why?Ho I know its time travelers from our future coming back to change something happening now to have a positive effect on the future.

    • RENSE.COM isn't always the best source in my opinion but UFO sightings always make me happy.

I am more likely to believe that people are seeing drones or other militarized aviation equipment but I still hold a special place for hope that UFO (aliens) are real.

    • UFO's? It is rather interesting that UFO is so often understood as "Aliens", "Spacecraft" etc. If that really is swamp gas then swamp gas is really neat.

"The are more things between heaven and earth than are in your philosophy Horatio."

Of course when I was a kid we only had five continents, but nine planets and greenhouse gas was a neat theory but there would never be enough people and the relation was just not plausible. Even continental drift was just as discredited as "alien astronauts".

What does that all mean? Just sit back and enjoy the show.

    • i said a while back: "I really hope that there are some other entities out there somewhere and that they, are much more intelligent then us. If that would be true maybe there is a chance that they will find a way to come to us.
      Because we are going nowhere...
      Fast!"
but on the other hand, it's quite hard to believe those ufo sightings ... people believe all kind of stuff, gray aliens, Lochness monster, yeti, Chupacabra, elfes, religion.
      It can't be all real.

    • I think many of the sightings around airbases would be from the military. Though UFO fanatics seem to think they hang around the airbases because there getting there own intelligence.

    • The problem with these new .or old..ufo sightings is that the military and airforce are already in production of Unseen before flight vehicles..and so it will be more difficult to distinguish the Real ones from outside the planet..from the Airforce Experimental flights.
Anything Galactic will be extremely large though...keep your eyes up...

    • Intresting. It appears encounters are rising. I had a dream a few years back which always sticks in my mind. Looking out of a bedroom window I saw a UFO and children playing on the streets. They all looked at the UFO's and then signs started to form in the Sky. A audiable voice rang out "This is a sign of the End Time Deception"

Pritty cool dream though and I was scared that the UFO would see me.

    • "The researchers found that when people were primed to feel out of control, they were more likely to see patterns where none exist. They would spot an object in each of the images above, even though only the image on the right contains one (the outline of Saturn and its rings). If you thought you saw something in the image on the left, don’t be too hard on yourself — your feeling may be perfectly understandable given the chaos on Wall Street.

The researchers say that their experiments, which also tested people’s tendency to detect conspiracies and see superstitious lessons in stories, help explain why conspiracy theories and superstitions flourish when people are feeling out of control."

    • There is no question that other life exists in this universe. It is too immense for life to exist exclusively on our planet. Whether other forms of life are visiting us or not, I am not certain. If they are, what the hell is this obsession with anal probes?

Ok, that first video was obviously a missile test.

The second link just had a bunch of pictures. I still can't prove anything conclusive from a bunch of pictures that have random objects floating through the air. Most if not all are most likely either doctored or misrepresented.

The third link is the same as the second one.

The last one is a bunch of astronaut sightings which I don't have time to read through and most likely would be inconclusive in my mind.

We [I] need real verifiable evidence, not just pictures and stories.

    • I personally haven't looked into any of the accounts, only heard about them through second hand. Personally I think it's kind of religion for me... I'm an agnostic, a true skeptic. My realist side won't let me wander too much into acceptance of the "unknown" yet a small part of me wants to believe it.

Until it's proven absolute, I cannot say one way or another. It is however an intriguing topic that could have a tremendous impact on not only our understanding of our place in existence, but more directly on religions who have the dogma that we are the only intelligent creatures in existence.

I could also compare it to the lochness monster and the abominable snowman or yeti. There are people who believe, but on scant evidence and unverifiable sightings. The continued lack of anything conclusive rightfully causes skepticism. We can't just go off of sightings can we? I know a lot of religious people have claimed to have "felt" God, but if you understand the workings of the human mind and self-induced states, then the reality becomes much less clear. Did these people just mis-perceive what they saw? What other factors come into each account that could interfere with the observers ability to know what he/she was really experiencing??

These are all great mysteries of life that we may never be able to answer...

    • Hmmm...very interesting point. He did establish that STAR WARS program that was proven it wouldn't work against soviets, maybe he thought it could protect us from something else. On the other point though, I live in southern WA and on a drive to Seattle one day I passed the SeaTac airport. In the sky there was this weird semi-plane looking thing. The landing goes directly above the highway and as stuck in traffic you could hear every other plane landing. This plane hovered went back and forth and up and down, smoothly and in a really interesting pattern. I thought it was some Boeing thing as it's right there, but when I tried finding that plane I couldn't find it anywhere. Still questioning what it was. But I think there is definitely other life forms out there, intelligent life, I'm betting on it. You should watch Contact, it just makes you believe so much.

After viewing the Turkey UFO on CURRENT the other night, I entered my hometown plus ufo sightings on the net. There was a picture of a ufo that a fishing guide took, it looked almost just like the Turkey UFO. Turkey and the Pacific Northwest are a ways apart. This sparked my interest, since then it has been 4 days of UFO's. I have learned very much. Amberaa you made the same point that Dan Akyroid makes in his interview. That Star Wars might haven't been for the Soviets at all. We had them anyway by mutually assured destruction. That would have been an expensive piece of overkill!!

    • After delving into the UFO phenomenon this week. I have come away with a different view towards sightings. After listening to Ronald Reagans famous speech at the united nations. Where he said "... when you stop to think that we're all God's children, wherever we may live in the world, I couldn't help but say to him, just think how easy his task and mine might be in these meetings that we held if suddenly there was a threat to this world from some other species from another planet outside in the universe. We'd forget all the little local differences that we have between our countries and we would find out once and for all that we really are all human beings here on this earth together"
I have always looked at this speech as primarily as a statement to do with the Soviets. Now, I feel as if he was telling us that Aliens do exist, and that he was subtly trying to warn us that Alien Invasion wasn't out of the question. How do you all feel about this. Please chime in.

It seems like he is saying that something needs to collectively scare the shit out of the world in order for everyone to stop seeing the differences in people and start seeing the similarities. Im not talking about something that is created in order to gain power ("Terrorism"), a real threat. Seems a little obvious tho.

This is always what I thought also. But, what if you were President, and you knew of a threat to your people. One that you couldn't come right out and say, whether for internal reasons, ie. "The Government forbid you on threat of DEATH" or for external reasons "The aliens might be listening and they have warned your Government if you tell we will wipe you out" Maybe, he would try and tell us in code. And Star Wars would have also been designed to combat this threat. I have heard less plausible conspiracy theories right here on current. Reagan was from the generation who didn't believe in BOOOGIEMEN. "If you can't see it, you can't shoot it" So when he even said this, people were blown away. I now hear it differently. Reagan was a superb speaker, maybe it had a double meaning. The thought of Star Wars help to finish off the Soviet Union. They couldn't match our spending. But Reagan kept pushing it, we of course thought he was just living in the past, fighting the eternal communist. But, what if he wanted Star Wars to protect us all from alien invasion???
