If forced to choose, would you rather give up sex or the Internet?

My answer would be completely dependent upon the quality of the sex. If it is poor sex, then I'll take the internet. If it is good to great sex, then the internet can piss off.

It is amazing how many people want to address and think about this question, when there are so many other questions, isn't it?

Well what do you want these people to answer? America is in ruins and its our fault. We love technology, money, internet, etc... we are the cause of our weakness. Of course people in our society will jump at this question instead of commenting on the Pakistanis or Iraqis or the failed Drug War, or Commies or the socialist here- that would take too much thought and effort. Why worry about freedom, when we can worry about the internet?

You see...the problem is that they assume there is a choice. For those of us who are married....you only get the Internet.

Heheh....ask anyone who gets married and has kids. Things change...sex just gets less frequent. That's why two weeks is hilarious.

I am not living a sad life. I did not say that I did not get sex. It is just not as frequent as it used to be. I have two beautiful daughters, a job I love, I live in France and have traveled all over the world. Two weeks without sex is not a big deal. Now two months, that would be a real test.

I'm thinking there partners aren't getting the job done. I wonder if the study accounted for people having sex on the net in various manors?

Ilove the internet, but it can't even come close to what I love about my wife. Now if I only got sex once every 2 weeks, that would definitely be a lose-lose situation, but I'd have to give up the net.

Sad findings indeed. My S.O. would be a good example of who this article is talking about. She can't go a time of day without facebook, yet alone some people who can't go a day without it.

For you nerds that would rather have the internet than basic human desire and emotion- you are fools. Why do you think Japan's population is in a complete clusterfuck in the next 100 years....technology and losing importance of sex. Sadly as they predicted, Japan is the pinnacle of technology and as they start a trend, the world tends to follow. If they stop having sex and create better technology the world may just follow in a population crash. Who knows, so grow a pair and give up the computer.
And to the wise ass who said sex is not the pinnacle of life but a small, shallow part- then obviously you are the weak link in the chain of evolution. Animals are biologically programmed to survive. Reproduction IS the pinnacle of survival, which is why sex is not a shallow part but as real of a human instinct as possible. Come to terms with sexuality and animal desire and perhaps your deep, rich world will be even more so.

Having never been a women I can't really speak to that. But it doesn't take a mental heavyweight to realize you have a different "map" if you've been the pursued, rather than the pursuer all your life. It's changing now, but in my generation it was perfectly acceptable for a male to have sexual experiences where if a girl was promiscous it was frowned on. Sexual equality indeed.
From the male point, and again I can only speak to my generation, the importance of sex in your life was in direct correlation to your age & maturity. Young men experience feelings only in their heart, gonads and stomach. It's the same now, but the mores of society have changed the perception. A couple didn't "move in" or "life together", they shacked up. This was accodes to the successful male, and frowned on by society. The girl was looked down on.
Times change. Sex doesn't. There's only so much variation in the slipping and sliding of mucus membranes. The conquest was everything. It wasn't until you got older that you realized that sex had more to it than horny. Realized that your partner wasn't just an object of desire or a recepticle for lust, but a unique human being. And that sex was the best way to grow closer. But that only applies with someone you truly care about.
Sex or the internet? How old are you?

seriously... articles like this only add to the horror of the situation.
sex is not the pinnacle of life FFS !!!
each to their own, but IMO, sex is a small, shallow part of a very deep and rich world...
get out there and live !!!

This is like asking me who I'd shoot if I had to choose - mum or dad.
"I'd turn the gun on myself" seems a fitting answer to both quandaries.

HA. Which ever women choose the internet, the reason is simple.
Who ever they are having sex with are simply not satisfying them.
If the sex was great they would'nt even care about the internet, work, a clean house, school, family, friends, the law, etc. lol.
