Both make perfect sense, and one is nice to look at.
And not feeding tubes, but food tubes. Tubes that should run underground like our common water system to supply our kitchens with food on-demand. How hard could this technology be? Piccard could get food shot to his cabin on the USS Enterprise, why can't we figure it out on a national level.
If any engineer's wish to add a more logistical approach to this, please do. We have to get the ball rolling. It needs to top Obama's new agenda.
