Angels; do they see the same as me?

This short film is woven from a series of black and white photographs of angels
photographed by me over a number of years, one at a time
Throughout the process I never once stood before them without being humbled
and in awe of their energy and of the mastery demonstrated by the artisans
who created them
They were Italian and had trained at Michelangelo's quarry before being seconded
around 1900 to work on site at Waverly Cemetery, which sits high on the cliffs
above Bronte Beach, Sydney, Australia
For me they breathe and sigh, while I wander and wonder......
