The Reach Film Fellowship, a program of Cinereach Ltd, supports filmmakers who are producing socially relevant short films as they transition from student to professional. Four filmmakers per year are selected to receive a $5,000 grant, sponsorships, skill-building workshops and mentorship from filmmakers like Albert Maysles, Rachel Grady, So Yong Kim and Jeremy Kipp Walker. Filmmakers who graduated in 2008 or 2009, and who will live in the New York Tri-State area from August 2009 to April 2010, are eligible to apply. Young, self-taught filmmakers with a solid production background are also eligible. Applications for the 2009/10 Fellowship are available, so please visit thereachfilmfellowship.com for details.
