DUETT: a new play at the Loeb Ex

stephanieskier
inspired by Heiner Müller’s “Quartett” and Søren Kierkegaard’s “Either/Or”

Concocted by Amy Stebbins

Starring Catrin Lloyd-Bollard as the Marquise de Merteuil and Dan Pecci as the Vicomte de Valmont.

Play meets rock concert meets video installation meets horror show. Featuring original music from Incubus lead-guitarist Michael Einziger, DUETT brings you your favorite bad guys from ‘Dangerous Liaisons’ to reveal the silent pact of “reality” that global society unknowingly made once upon a time. Ever oscillating between the real and surreal, this bold adaptation offers a ruthless critique of elitism, religion, and that once useful form of political discourse: the theater.
