"A braid is made of a sequence of ties and twists--sort of like life. The hairstyle has lasted generation after generation, just like our families and their stories. Funny how something so seemingly simple as hair can be so very complicated."

This is how the blog begins? Really interesting. It caught my attention. This is the story of a girl who sees her grandmother hair that is almost a century old and discovers it matches her hue to the "t." It amazes her that she is looking at something that has passed down through her gene pool to her from someone that she never met.

This is a story about family, history and keeping heritage and tradition alive. Beautifully written with a unique twist, this is a very heart-warming piece that makes this blogger so special. I've been following her since her debut. She never EVER fails to deliver the best work on the web. I LOVE her and will advocate her writing until she stops (which she won't). Read it--it relates to us all. Very lovely.
