    • I volunteer every week , because it is the right thing to do . If you skip church , you have more time for real meaningful actions .

    • Many people can not handle the difficulty and suffering life brings so they surround themselves with fallacies to convince one another life is "prosperous and just". The saddest part of their self absorption is the bastardization of jesus (little j).

    • OOOooKKkkkk.... look, I can't even count all the Christian mission groups helping in my community. It's not the religion, it's the people who do nothing with their religion that are described here. Maybe if more people attending church would actually DO things that are preached to them, we'd have a better situation. I'll admit, sadly, that the church I go to is a multi-million dollar complex that keeps getting bigger and better.
      ...
      hmm...
Ahhh, uh, well, yeah, that is kinda messed up >_=

And that multi-million dollar church's money could be spent building homeless shelters, feeding the poor, assisting with medical bills.... so much, much more. A REAL "Christian" would rather worship in a plain wooden building, if it meant knowing all that money were going to GOOD things instead of decorations, parties, etc.

A person shouldn't even "HAVE" to go to church (or temple or synagogue or... ?) to know (to be preached at) what to do for the rights of other living beings. We are a very selfish species.

      Compassion begins at home.

    • If you're too lazy to click on the link, here's what the person wrote:

You know what my FAVORITE thing in the world is? I’ll tell you.

Each week, MILLIONS and millions of upper middle class
American citizens put on expensive dress
      clothes, and load themselves
into SUV’s and drive past homeless
      shelters,
      orphanages,
      prisons,
      missions, and halfway
houses on their way to a
      VERY EXPENSIVE AND
      NICE CHURCH, where somebody
tells them HOW TO BE MORE LIKE JESUS.

That is FUCKING AWESOME, let me tell you.
