Congoboy's perjured and Corrected Post, Because Too Many People Whined... 11 Rules of Life...If You Never Read Anything Again Don't Miss This.

- added this
Rule 1: Life is not fair -- get used to it!
Rule 2: The world won't care about your self-esteem. The world will expect you to accomplish something BEFORE you feel good about yourself.
Rule 3: You will NOT make $60,000 a year right out of high school. You won't be a vice-president with a company car until you earn both.
Rule 4: If you think your teacher is tough, wait till you get a boss.
Rule 5: Flipping burgers is not beneath your dignity. Your Grandparents had a different word for burger flipping -- they called it opportunity.
Rule 6: If you mess up, it's not your parents' fault, so don't whine about your mistakes, learn from them.
Rule 7: Before you were born, your parents weren't as boring as they are now. They got that way from paying your bills, cleaning your clothes and listening to you talk about how cool you thought you are. So before you save the rain forest from the parasites of your parent's generation, try delousing the closet in your own room.
Rule 8: Your school may have done away with winners and losers, but life HAS NOT. In some schools they have abolished failing grades and they'll give you as MANY TIMES as you want to get the right answer. This doesn't bear the slightest resemblance to ANYTHING in real life.
Rule 9: Life is not divided into semesters. You don't get summers off and very few employers are interested in helping you FIND YOURSELF. Do that on your own time.
Rule 10: Television is NOT real life. In real life people actually have to leave the coffee shop and go to jobs.
Rule 11: Be nice to nerds. Chances are you'll end up working for one.

these are bullshit.
1, life is fair if you have rich parents. then you can get away with whatever the fuck you want!!
2, flipping burgers IS beneath your dignity. save that job for the hundreds of thousands of illegals in the country. its not an opportunity, its a minimum wage job that wont get you anywhere. not even into an apartment outside of government subsidized housing.
3, unless your parents are rich, most of your life is going to be hell. my parents kicked me out when i was 17, theyve never paid any of my bills in my life, my dad has beat the shit out of me more times than i can count, and out of 8 kids, no one could manage to pay for college because my dad squandered my moms money away on baseball cards. unless your parents are rich, they arent worth SHIT.
4, your ego in the grand scheme is meaningless and no one really cares if you find a cure for cancer or if you end up in jail for 50 years.
5, your employers, boyfriends, girlfriends, friends, brothers, sisters, grandparents, etc. can and are always happy to find someone to replace you.
6, the life you see on tv is only available to the rich socialites of america. everyone else in the world hates them, but you want to be them. surprise, youre the fucking reason this country SUCKS.

Bill Gates and Steve Jobs were geeks of the highest order. They did lots of things people don't mention these days.
If indeed Gates did create this list...I would still stand by my original comment.
Gates didn't become a philanthropist until he was shamed into it by Warren Buffet.

Congoboy is 100% correct he just missed a few points and clauses. He fails to take into consideration that there are about one thousand politicians and wealthy bugaboos who are there to make life difficult for you so be very careful. Life is not just get born and all is free if you learn the rules. Life is full of competetion and misinformation on a personal basis and apt to overwhelm you from a social, public, political and career seeking prospect. Just be careful. There is a war front at home as well as the middle and far east. Men, women and children of all ages are dieing all over the world and there is little or no sympathy for them. Many are just brushed off as colateral damage or they were in the wrong place at the wrong time. Remember the right place to be is getting smaller with each passing day.

Why is the left so full of hate? Ignorance breeds suspicion, jealousy breeds contempt..
When people are anxious and egotistical you will find nervous, argumentative, know it all types.
Their dream of open government and change has been dashed with a cold dose of reality, the imagined new world turn out to be a fantasy.
Politicians will say anything to get elected, that is obvious to all by now.May the Grace and Peace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit ....Be with you all.

Two problems with this:
1.) Bill Gates did NOT "recently gave a speech at a High School about 11 things they did not and will not learn in school."
2.) Bill Gates did NOT even give this speech in the first place.
This is actually a rumor that's been floating around the internet for over 10 years. Just ask Snopes.com (http://tinyurl.com/2lbwdv) or TruthOrFiction.com (http://tinyurl.com/2t2qw).
C'mon CurrentTV. You're better than this.
Maybe Rule 12 should be "Do not post something as a 'News' story without first checking it's validity."

i have nothing against people paying their fair share and apparently bill's agreeable to that. its just that sometimes people say one thing and mean another or change what they say all together. certainly the wealthiest should pay their share but we must also consider that many of the wealthiest also run company's and hire schmoes like us and sometimes tax breaks are needed to expand and hire more schmoes like us. not all tax breaks work out to be in the best interest of workers or the american people however, but some are legitimate ways of expanding employment.

There is this concept called history, it disagrees with you, that is fact.
Company assets should be kept separate from personal assets, only the smallest companies do otherwise. And the tax increase is not targeting them.
Also Bill Gates is running a campaign to persuade billionaires to put half there wealth toward helping the less fortunate.
