Professor Hall has recently completed his Magnum Opus, "The Bowl With One Spoon" -- specifically the two books that comprise the past 16 years of his research; "Earth Into Property: Colonization, Decolonization and Capitalism" and "The American Empire and the Fourth World".
In this interview, Chris and Tony tackle such issues as Global Imperialism starting from 1492 -- which officially led to and finalized the obliteration of the world's indigenous people. They also discuss 9/11, the bogus death of Osama Bin Laden, government psy-ops, the G20 in Toronto, global privatization, fascism, the recent Canadian federal election and the outrageous goings-on at Fukushima -- potentially the greatest disaster and threat to all life on the planet -- the net result of the stupidity and arrogance of our species -- and how all of these topics are manifestations of the same problem...

He may be right of course, but I suspect the fault lies in the more common strain of planetary human greed than any political or economic system.
It's true that the intense concentration of capital (aided by nationalism and industry) has fueled resource and habitat destruction like a house on fire, but the destruction of habitat has been going on long before the 1600's.
We just got "better" at it.
Also, it's hard not to think the bright blue glasses Dr. Hall sports are part and parcel of the same phenomenon. - 12 months ago

He is worth listening to, whatever the colour of the frames of his glasses. Much of what he says confirms the many conclusions I have come to over the years, and he is a mine of information. His two books are now on my "must buy" list.

Given your recommendation, Vierotchka, I'll add him to the top of my reading list.
I love a good contentious read. As always, I try to remain warmly skeptical, but always willing to learn. - 12 months ago
