TURNER.
and THIS is 'WHY' Fathom; only Frazetta "moved" the "frame" with such grace,
as Turner with Fathom. Turner was always a bit frozen /ornamental,...though elegant and beautiful,......a little more flow,depth, movement,...with Fathom. Not his best character, but perhaps his best work. - 2 years ago

Artist's Comments
some of you might recognize this as a page from Mike Turner's issue #5 of witchblade.fantastic realm commissioned me to paint it for a print and a cover for top cow's landmark issue witchblade #125.
this is the second time i've colored something after the artist has passed away, and i tell you what it's an extremely harsh, unwelcome, and surreal feeling knowing that while you work.
it is also in a way, a tribute? i guess i tried harder than usual. i never knew mike, but i hear about how awesome he was and i feel like i've missed out on something not ever meeting him. so in the end, this is all i can do. honor the memory.
