    • wtf? racist comment? this isn't kindergarten people, we don't need to be protected guarded or sheltered from disagreeable comments or attitudes. I personally think the guy was a bigoted overly-opinionated pseudo-intellectual. But all the same even my own rantings are sometimes insulting, and we’ve no reason to sugar coat a bitter pill of truth. The right to say something offensive is no different than the right to spew a sugary lie or even the right to disagree with it, and to shelter anybody from the words of another, no matter how disagreeable, or to punish one for their words is simply ridiculous. The moment we get to dictate what another can or cannot say is the moment when EVERYONE loses their freedom of speech.

Their right to spew bigoted propaganda is the same as my right to call is such, and to debate against it.
Why have things gone in this ‘feel good / nobody get’s hurt and everyone gets a trophy’ way of thinking. Let a jerk say what they want and they will dig their own hole. Like the saying goes ‘the bane of hypocrisy is not its visibility to others but rather its invisibility to the practitioner.’ Let the bigot display his hate before all to see, for that’s the same as my right to display my love and tolerance.
