They are pretty much essential, but you may want to ditch your mobile phone for ever after reading this.The average handset carries 18 times more potentially harmful germs than a flush handle in a men's toilet, tests have revealed.

    • this story got lots of coverage TV wise! it does depend on the user in my view,don't let anyone use your phone,and if you wash your hands and use a sanitizer you should be OK I'd think,same thing with a keyboard and/or a mouse,nobody uses them but me! as I have and continue to live with an auto-immune disease,and require immugloben infusions,I have to be careful and at the office I keep a keyboard and mouse for others to use!

      it was shocking in the nineties when we found out how filthy every public seurface was, but its old hat now.
