The real 9/11 truth is not that the destruction of the World Trade Center was an inside job, but that the terrorists who flew planes into it achieved a monumental victory. The destruction of the twin towers and the loss of life and property, as tragic as they were, did not by themselves achieve a victory for the terrorists. It took the overblown response by President George W. Bush to enable the terrorists to achieve what they could not have by themselves.

Many of us are no longer afraid of Muslim terrorists, however, we are afraid of our own government. The events of 9/11 have strengthened the hands of every military, police and investigative agency in the United States (including Child Protective Services which I focus on in my articles) at the same time cutting back the civil liberties of the people of the United States.

Before 9/11 it was hard to imagine that Americans would actually debate the benefits of torture. Before 9/11 it was inconceivable that people, including American citizens, could be held indefinitely without trial.

Thousands of Americans have been subjected to wiretapping without a warrant. President Bush used 9/11 to create the Department of Reich Homeland Security, which seems duplicative of the Department of Defense. This move was supported by neo-conservatives who once called for the dismantling of the Department of Education because it intruded on the rights of the people.

President Bush also used 9/11 to expand presidential power and used signing acts to undermine what the people's representatives passed into law. He increased our border patrol's authority by allowing them to set up checkpoints as far as 100 miles inland, where they often stop people without sufficient reason for doing so.

According to the ACLU, the Patriot Act, designed by former Attorney General John Ashcroft, and rammed through Congress on a wave of "patriotism" contained provisions that vastly expanded governmental powers. According to the ACLU, Ashcroft's responses threaten us in three disturbing ways:

"They focus suspicion on groups or individuals, based on religion or national origin alone;

They demand virtually unchecked authority to snoop and spy on law-abiding Americans not suspected of any crime; and

They shut down dissent and due process with strategies ranging from secret hearings and detentions to open disregard of the courts."

...The real truth about 9/11 is that it led to the passage of many laws that have hurt civil liberties. It has given people in authority the "courage" to abuse people. It has made terrorists out of people who violate our civil liberties in the name of fighting terrorism and keeping us safe.

We need to roll back any laws passed because of 9/11 that have hurt our civil liberties. We need to bring to trial people who have abused their authority.

The important issue is not who destroyed the twin towers on September 11, 2001, but who has been using that tragedy ever since to destroy our civil liberties.

No, I think that is horrible. That is pure anger and hate with no sense of human decency or respect for life and for other people's freedom.

Being politically correct does not erase murder.
That means that if police refuse to say that a Jewish man stole billions, or that a black man stole thousands or that an Asian woman stole jewelry, they are being politically correct, but they are not hiding anything. Today there is something called, "television."
The viewers will draw their own conclusions anyway, once they hear or see names and faces.
Christians who break into mosques to vandalize and cause damage are CRIMINAL. Their act is hateful and demands justice.
I am not "after Muslims." I am against the tens of millions and possibly the hundreds of millions of Islamic fundamentalists who act like they have just come down from the trees and have no connection to civilized behavior. They use murder and rape and beatings and chopping the way I use the trains and buses. They think they are going to heaven and I think I am going to work.
Their Imams continue the violence in their lives by encouraging them and enraging them. That is not the way typical Muslims act.
But I can not ignore 133 million Muslim terrorists and live in denial while believing they don't exist. (That figure is if there are only 10% of all Muslims, who believe in killing those who were given a chance to convert and still refused to become Muslims.)
Even if there are fewer, it is still a huge amount of people who are murderers hiding behind Allah's skirts, insisting that they are going to heaven if they kill non believers. However, I believe there are more than 10%.

Do you think it's okay to vandalize a mosque or rip off a woman's headscarf off, or beat someone because they looked Arab? It sure sounds like what you're saying. Revenge and all.

"Those certain people are known. Political correctness does not erase murder."

And how is not hating someone "politically correct"? It's not politically correct to recognize that not all Muslims are bad people. It's logically correct.

I'm sick of people using "political correctness" as an excuse to hate. Like using your brain is somehow "politically correct."

      Also from Wiki...

More recent studies show that the overall percentage of Americans identifying themselves as Christians is sliding. Christianity in the United States has become more polarized with the numbers of evangelical Christians increased which, according to the studies, also contributed to the increasing numbers of Americans who are rejecting religion completely.[10] Around half of American adults leave the faith tradition of their upbringing to either switch allegiances or abandon religious affiliation altogether.[11][12]

All the Abrahamic Religions Islam/Judaism/Christianity are also the most violent now and throughout history.

    • I'm not sure about a conspiracy on the 9/11 with Bush and his administration, but it makes a lot of sense because it allowed Ashcroft to proceed (with Bush & Cheney's approval) with cramming the Patriot Act down the throats of a group of scared Americans along with a lot of other Acts and Secrets Bills we never knew about. Included in those would be the ability to spy on any American for no reason, subject them to arrest and imprisonment for no reason and deny them access to the justice system at their whim all in the name of "National Security." It makes one wonder how many Americans are sitting in jails on trumped up charges with no contact to the outside and subjected to torture from our own government. I'm so disgusted with this government and it's over bearing mentality of power mongering czars. I said it before in another comment toa skeptic and I'll say it again, check your computers and phone lines for taps, "they" know everything about all of us and can do as "they" wish without regard to the laws we must abide by. Maybe you'll hear from me again?

Why are you allowing them to continue being tortured?

You speak with such a authoritative voice. Are you Harvard educated? Perhaps a PhD from some other place of higher education, or do you, by the volume of nonsensical replies to so many people who really feel they have something to say from their heart, feel the need to just blow off against them with your "opinions" based upon your need to oppose anything that others feel important to them. After reading your profile of responses it is obvious that your inconsistency in replies, combined with the sheer volume of responses with little or no point to them--factual or otherwise--to a plethora of subjects invalidates your responses and does not warrant any further replies from myself or others "in my opinion." But reply you will I expect, and I await the tirade you shall surely unleash upon myself and those who have listened to you before. Have a nice evening.

This is the best part of this article and cuts to the chase of what we now have under our government; left and right. Abuse of power, individuals now encouraged to violate long held sacred public trusts.

While taking tech school electronic/computer engineering classes in the nearest city, I studied under an engineer who, upon questioning, said that he had left Poland as a result of (and thanks to)Solidarity. I just heard Richard Clarke say on "Real Time" what I believe to be true, that how we respond to the next real challenge will define us. If we respond to hate with hate, if we turn on ourselves with distrust, the antagonist will prevail.

    • Only Vierotchka knows the true conspiracy.
You see it's the Israeli Zionist Apartheid Jew monkey and pigs who planned it all and convinced the 15 Saudi terrorists and the four others to blow up the World Trade Center.
If only the CIA and FBI had consulted with Vierotchka, they would have stopped the 9/11 in time and captured all those Zionist Jews and put them in jail.
Oh well, don't worry, Mr. Obama has already begun to discourage the CIA from helping our country. Soon, he and all his Vierotchka type friends will have the control they need to feel more secure.
The FBI has already begun to follow the new Obama guidelines. If you catch a terrorist, set him free because you probably used profiling and that is not nice.
It's amazing how those Zionists got those terrorists to to murder those people in the Twin Towers.
Also, it is the Zionists who killed Ceaser in Rome, because Brutus had changed his name from Brutushiamstein to Brutus.
Also James Earl Ray didn't kill Martin Luther King Jr. Don't you know that Ray had changed his Jewish name from Rayofskybloom to just Ra?
Ask Vierotchka, she knows so much about those Zionists.
      Don't forget Mao Tse Tongberg.

    • motherfortruth, you are so right we have not been free since the Nixon administration but the supposed "terrorist attack" on september 11,2001 allowed the elite conservatives, who really run all governments, to push forward the agenda they had all along to take away our rights to allow the new world order to become reality. All over the globe governments are following this facist agenda, which will serve the elite to have free reign to screw us anyway they choose, because many of the legal protections have been removed with the excuse of so called safety being more important then freedom! Ask yourself this question: since 9-11-2001 gave them everything they wanted, provided by luck? Just like the Kennedy assassination in dallas there is more to the incidents that occuried on september 11th then the "story" pushed on the people by the elite to lull many of us to sleep, until its too late, and while the new world order moves forward with their evil plans!

    • This article is not about who was at fault for 9/11. It is about American people fall victims of bad laws and abuse of legal system many Americans face... Stop kidding yourselves - Americans are not free.
I think this quote clearly summarizes this article,
"…we are afraid of our own government. The events of 9/11 have strengthened the hands of every military, police and investigative agency in the United States (including Child Protective Services which I focus on in my articles) at the same time cutting back the civil liberties of the people of the United States.

    • To this very day, there are at least (the lowest number in any poll), 133 million terror lovers who are glad that those people were killed. They are glad because they know that most of the murdered ones were Christians. They hate Christians and they have absolutely no care about which denomination or branch or sect of Christianity. They just want dead Christians.
      They got what they wanted.
However, because of bin laden, their hero, more Muslims have been killed in these past eight years than in any other eight year period in history.
Their hero bin laden is responsible for all the deaths of Muslims since the 9/11 sneak and cowardly attack and he will also be responsible for all the coming, future deaths of Muslims through constant retaliation and revenge.
Mr. George Bush was 100% correct when he said to the terrorists, "You have awakened a sleeping giant."
So true, and it's going to continue to be true.
This is a mostly Christian country with more than 50 million Catholics who believe in forgiveness. However, even the Catholics here are still Americans and the other cheek has turned enough. While the terrorists continue to kill Christians, they are feeding and nurturing revenge to a proportion they never envisioned.
Those same terrorists continue to speak about Zionists and Jews and Israel, but the Christians know they are really murdering Christians behind all that "Jewish" talk.
      The revenge has begun.

    • Re:"Many of us are no longer afraid of Muslim terrorists, however, we are afraid of our own government."

WTC 7 was not struck by 'terrorists'. It was pulled.

So too --the twin towers. As a growing chorus of scientists have proven beyond any REASONABLE doubt, the official acct of the twins fall is a bald faced lie.

Moreover, steel girders were 'cut' to facilitate a fall that, in fact, EXCEEDED free fall. Now --this might have been proven with a scientific study of every girder but for the fact that Bush ordered the destruction of evidence from this crime scene.

Why would anyone order the destruction of evidence that might have exonerated him UNLESS the evidence would have convicted him?

Secondly, there is NO EVIDENCE that 77 struck the Pentagon. Officialists say the fuselage 'vaporized'. I checked numerous scientific and university sources, including NASA. Aluminum of which a fuselage if made, vaporizes at 11,000 degrees F. That --according to NASA --is hotter than the surface of the sun!

Those who believe the fuselage vaporized ALSO believe the contradictory assertion that Arabs on the flight were identified with DNA. Clue: DNA literally 'melts' at less than 500 degrees F. Either the fuselage vaporized or the DNA was IDd ---BUT NOT BOTH.

The Washington Post reported that Hani Hanjour never got on board. He did not have a ticket. It is hard to imagine skinny hanjour, indeed, any hijacker taking control of any flight armed only with boxcutters.

There was NO WRECKAGE at the Pentagon traceable to a 757. Only ONE rotor was found. Two rotors of almost 10 ft diameter WOULD have been found and would NOT have vaporized in any airliner fire. The ONLY rotor found was about ONE THIRD the diameter of TWO that would have been found had 77 crashed the Pentagon.

Is this to be explained by the absurd VAPORIZATION THEORY again? Hardly! Engine rotors are made of a TITANIUM/STEEL ALLOY designed to withstand the heat inside the engines where they operate.

There were NO Arab names on the ONLY OFFICIAL AUTOPSY report that was made public. It was released in response to an FOIA request.

The OFFICIAL FLIGHT DATA was released to a professional pilot organization in response to their FOIA request. The data indicates that Fl 77 was at an altitude of 273 feet at the time of impact. The Pentagon is only 71 feet tall.

Again --EVIDENCE from the scene was ordered carted off and, presumably, destroyed! That is a crime in and of itself. The Pentagon crash was a CRIME SCENE.

Again the question --why would Bush, indeed, anyone inside his administration order the destruction of evidence that might have exonerated them unless --obviously --the evidence DOES NOT exonerate them, rather it indicts them of the crimes of MASS MURDER and HIGH TREASON against the sovereign people of the United States.

If the govt of the United States thus waged war upon the people, the government therefore is illegitimate and nothing legal since 911 has therefore issued from it.

    • Patriot Act has been given a bad rap, it mainly modernized wiretapping laws on the book since the '20's. It takes into account cell phones, and the internet. It strengthened FISA laws put in under Carter.

In the link none of the cons for the provisions have happened.
We should be aware of what is in the laws, and be on the look out for our rights, but be aware of facts, not just fears.

Instead it takes simple reason, and a desire for JUSTICE.
