    • thanks bgizzle. i miss you man.
      webcam is down right now (the downside of living in spain) so I'll give you the text answer.
      basically, it takes a ton of edit time if you want it done right. in short, shoot your subject in one place with amotion heavy backround for 5 minutes or so. doesnt' matter if they blink, just make sure they stay still. take the clip in fcp and speed it up to your desired time, say 15 seconds from 4 minutes, a realy fast timelapse. your subject will look like crap, blinking and twitching. here's the fun part. take 15 normal seconds of your subject from the original. use a couple 8 point garbage matts to cut the subject cleanly out of the background. then lay the normal 15 seconds of the subject on the compressed backdrop. you can color correct them sepeartely and add effects seperately. i put a motion blur on this particular backdrop. it takes a while for renders and cutting, but it looks awesome.

    • The Pod is officially done and in the mail. I'm exhausted. Giving yourself fedx deadlines is really stupid as I staued up til 5am two nights in a row to hit the deadline.

    • Even though I've just started the editing process on this piece, I went straight to cutting a trailer after logging the first five tapes (yes we shot a lot!). I did this for two reasons,1) I wanted to help make this currrent.com page a cool place to hang out and discuss the pod.2) It always helps me in the editing process to make one, cool flashy piece of media first (be it a timelapse, a trailer or a little montage). It gets me pumped for all the hard work to come.I hope you all enjoy the trailer. The intro will ultimately be pretty similar.
