Jennifer Granholm, host of "The War Room," says her intense curiosity and her experience will allow her to ask the questions that matter to real people. She says that having received the kinds of talking points that politicians bring to talk shows, she can call them on "the B.S." "I don't want this show to be about talking points," she says, adding that people "want to hear the truth."

    • Off the subject but not really. I just rcvd my Jan / Feb Mother Jones. There is an article u may find interesting titled "Pink- washing Plastic". It may b on their website also. Haven't checked or researched but Mo-Jo is usually pretty accurate and ahead on a lot of issues. This is another eye- opener for me, and not a pleasant one!

    • I am so excited for this show! As a recent MSU graduate and working professional, born and raised in Greenville, MI you truly have been an inspiration! Go Jenny!

NO, I wouldn't be watching this obvious attempt at reinvention. Even if I had Current TV on my cable provider. I'd watch Vanguard and Keith Olbermann and maybe Cenk Uyger, but not her. I don't think it's exactly indicative of her "no talking points and getting past the bs" line to ignore people with real concerns she was a part of in supporting DOW Chemical and then thinking she can just conveniently and secretly shove it under the rug because she probably is being paid more money to work here. The evasion however, is very evident and telling. So much like the MSM people are trying to get away from and the politicians who spew nothing but BS just to get you to like them. I have lost loved ones to cancer and find her lack of response also indicative of not caring about all of the people globally who have been and continue to be victims of DOWS's systematic human rights abuses and poisoning. I expect better from Current and I truly am now questioning some people's judgement based on their desire to get ratings. Again, just like the MSM. So unless I get a response, I suppose I will be asking these questions every chance I get. Isn't freedom of speech wonderful? It is, and so is truth...very freeing for the soul.

    • Well, I went to Twitter and asked you at "#AskJen" why you originally were a member of the board of DOW Chemical (because face it, like many corporations they do deal in talking points BS and if you don't you wouldn't have been there in the first place) and if you were aware of their toxic legacy. Which I presume you must be since their offices are in Michigan... and you were governor of Michigan... and Michigan is the state where they are polluting and toxifying the water with Dioxin and currently going through a Superfund clean up as well as ignoring the plight of those in Bhopal. I hope to then see some truth on that as well instead of evasion as if these comments I am putting here are invisible because I am just a lowly participant on a website and not a Harvard graduate. I still know and love this planet and really can't stand hypocrites.
